Room 4 Lodge Accommodations: Maine Outcast Campout

from $75.00

Evans Notch Lodge has become our home away from home along the banks of the Wild and Androscoggin rivers. With space surrounding the central lodge for activities, gathering, and camping, and a range of motel-style and cabin rooms available for those who’d rather not camp. These rooms are available with attached bathrooms, cozy quilted bedding, and place to relax and reset as needed with some quiet and comfort.

Room 4 is a motel-style room with 2 twin and one “queenish” sized bed, a chair, and adjacent pastel theme bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower stall.

This product option is for the Base Rate, which has been set at $100, covering use of lodging and relevant cleaning + care costs for the long weekend. This is a rate set to ensure our lovely friend and lodge-owner Jen gets what she needs for financial support and covers administrative and coordination time in program prep, as all of our partnerships are based on mutuality, reciprocity and sustainable practice. Jen has been incredibly generous with us in the past, and we’re thankful to be back!

Confluence Collective participates in sliding scale pricing models for community events. We encourage and rely on community to self-select the tier that best fits their level of financial stability and privilege; please refer to the Green Bottle sliding scale model to identify the rate for you. Please continue reading below to determine the rate that works best for you.

Identifying the right pricing tier for you:

  • The base rate for this lodging is $100, covering actual cleaning, care, and coordination costs. If you are able to treat yourself without worrying about covering life necessities, the base rate is likely the appropriate price for you.

  • The “Take My Money” rate is $175, covering you and another angler’s basic support and gear costs. This is available for those who are able to pay more based on their available resources, and ensures anglers with fewer resources have access to lower pricing tiers.

  • The I Want Space Rate is $300 and is a way for you to book the whole room for yourself.

  • The $75 Subsidized Rate is for those who cannot cover full experience costs. This price relies on community subsidies from the “Take My Money” rate — allowing for anonymous support to ensure access by and for community. If this feels like the right price for you, we encourage you to select it. A minimum of two (2) slots are set aside at this rate. Feel free to contact us with any questions: us@confluencecollective.org

Being financially accessible is a core part of Outcast Campouts, recognizing many fly fishing experiences are not. If you are unable to pay at any of the rates we have listed, please reach out. We will either work out a payment plan and/or provide a code to offset whatever you need.

Outcast Campouts are group events with a choose-your-own-adventure approach to fishing. Buddy up with fellow campers, hire a guide, take a day hike, or take a nap under a cedar — all are welcome here. Evening social + educational time will keep you learning from one another and sharing fishing stories around the campfire. We’ll hear from experts + community members on the regional heritage + complicated history of local fly fishing, conservation, entomology, decolonized considerations for the spaces we visit, and more.

A portion of proceeds from this purchase goes directly back into the hosting community: a portion of every program registration goes to mission-connected social, indigenous, environmental, conservation, and community groups doing necessary work in their local context. Past proceeds have benefitted: First Light, Nibezun, MMIW, the Marsha P Johnson Institute. For the 2024 Maine Outcast Campout, we will be contributing to Bomazeen Land Trust . Thank you for supporting!

Please Note: by paying for this offering in our shop, you are submitting a Registration Request.

You will receive notification from Confluence Collective either confirming your spot, or refunding in full if the program is at capacity. If confirmed, you will have the opportunity to add on things like Community Meals, Guided Fishing, or Lodging.

Cancellation Policy: To receive a full refund, this program requires 30 days notice prior to June 20th, 2024. Any cancellation in the remaining 29 days before the event will not be refunded, and will go towards another angler’s participation in a future event. We know plans and circumstances can change outside of your control, and we encourage you to be in touch to discuss options: us@confluencecollective.org
