a place for every body on the water
Our community programs are built by and for the people who show up.
We cultivate support and encouragement from one another, from beginners to lifetime anglers.
We love fishing together. Confluence Collective was founded in 2019 with a simple vision: to hold space on the water where anyone would feel belonging. The hope of fishing alongside new people and growing together took form in our first Fly Fishing Exchange, bringing women from the northeast to Montana, and instigated learning through ecological + land stewardship conversation, decolonized considerations of the spaces we hold, and collective experiences where individuals could deepen their understanding of themselves and each other — with lots of great time on the water and lots of learning.
We’re perpetually evolving, and the ways we show up to the water and for each other will change along with us.
We prioritize curiousity, asking questions, growth, and wading deeper into defining your own relationship with the water, rather than borrowing someone else’s vision of how it should be.
your relationship with the water is your own to define
we offer support as you wade deeper
While dominant narratives of what fly fishing should be, how you should show up, and who you should be are loud, we have a louder central mantra and mission:
Every body belongs on the water.
