Take-My-Money Rate Guided Fishing: Maine Outcast Campout
Western Maine is known as home to some of the largest brook trout in the country, as well as Atlantic landlocked salmon, large and smallmouth bass, rainbow and brown trout, and a variety of other fish in the many brooks, streams, rivers, ponds, and lakes. June fishing is a mix of top water and subsurface fishing with plentiful hatches and hungry fish.
In Maine, we are pleased to work with a network of trusted Registered Maine and New Hampshire Guides. Guided fishing typically costs $500 for the full day trip for 1-2 anglers, or $350 for a 1/2 day. For Campouts, we coordinate shared guides. This price does not include gratuity. It is standard to plan to tip 20%.
This product option is for the Take-My-Money Rate. The “Take My Money” rate for ½ day guided fishing is $350, and $500 for a full day, covering you and another angler’s basic program costs. This is available for those who are able to pay more based on their available resources, and ensures anglers with fewer resources have access to lower pricing tiers.
Guide trips are Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday. If you have a preference to fish from a boat, or fish alongside a specific riverbank buddy who is also attending the campout, please reach out and let us know! Otherwise our program leads will coordinate pairs and you’ll meet at the campout. In western Maine, guided fishing spans walk-wade and float fishing. If you have questions around mobility, please let us know to connect you with your guide and discuss options together.

Confluence Collective participates in sliding scale pricing models for community events. We encourage and rely on community to self-select the tier that best fits their level of financial stability and privilege; please refer to the Green Bottle sliding scale model to identify the rate for you. Please continue reading below to determine the rate that works best for you.
Identifying the right pricing tier for you:
The base rate for ½ day guided fishing is $175, and a full day guided fishing is $250, covering actual individual alongside another angler. If you are able to treat yourself without worrying about covering life necessities, the base rate is likely the appropriate price for you. Given the community orientation of our programming, solo guided fishing is not coordinated through Confluence Collective. If you’d like to organize a guide for yourself, we can provide recommendations on who to contact.

The $100 Subsidized Rate for ½ day guided fishing is for those who cannot cover full guide costs. This price relies on community subsidies from the “Take My Money” rate — allowing for anonymous support to ensure access by and for community; Confluence Collective may also have access to individual scholarships to offset costs of guided fishing. If this feels like the right price for you, we encourage you to select it. A minimum of two (2) slots are set aside at this rate. Feel free to contact us with any questions: us@confluencecollective.org
The $75 Payment Plan Rate is for those who cannot pay for guided fishing cost up front at the time of requesting registration. This rate relies on you communicating with us to ensure a plan is set up specifically for what is realistic to you. Please contact us to talk through options: us@confluencecollective.org
Being financially accessible is a core part of Outcast Campouts, recognizing many fly fishing experiences are not. If you are unable to pay at any of the rates we have listed, please reach out. We will either work out a payment plan and/or provide a code to offset whatever you need.
Please Note: by paying for this offering in our shop, you will be paired with another camper for a guided fishing experience between Friday and Sunday of the campout
To ensure your goals for the day are kept in mind, please expect to hear from us with questions about your fishing experience, preferences, and expectations. Following this exchange, you will receive an introduction from Confluence Collective to connect you with both your guide and your fishing buddy for the day. If you have a preference on who you are paired with for the day, or would like to borrow fishing gear, please let us know: us@confluencecollective.org
Cancellation Policy: To receive a full refund for guided fishing, this program requires 15 days notice prior to June 20th, 2024. Any cancellation in the remaining days before the event will not be refunded, and will go towards another angler’s participation in a future event. We know plans and circumstances can change outside of your control, and we encourage you to be in touch to discuss options: us@confluencecollective.org
