Social Justice Update

Hi fishy friends: our feed will be going into the hands of community for the foreseeable future. There will be collaboratively created resources, story telling, introductions, instigation, and amplification of the existing resilience, innovation, and leadership from black and marginalized voices. There will likely be content that doesn’t fit in these themes as well, as we remain flexible and adaptable to the change we are observing around us, and aim to maintain space for intersections of identity and experience. We’re all dynamic humans who never fit within the boxes put over us. Let’s rip em up and welcome in our whole selves.

While notes/posts of solidarity are encouraging, we look forward to working alongside the angling and outdoor community on dismantling white supremacy as it uniquely manifests in their context, and building space that is truly welcoming, accepting, and inclusive for all. We are holding ourselves accountable by decentering our founder’s voice, calling in peers and industry, celebrating and normalizing learning, and remaining available for questions and collaborative development to this end. And we want your input. We know incredible growth and healing is possible through fly fishing, and we all need it.
